Silicon Fuzz Face

Silicon Fuzz Face clone for Tim.  BC-108 and BC-109 Silicon transistors used.  The circuit is built onto mini tag board and features carbon comp resistors, and a Mullard 0.01uf output Capacitor.  It also has an external Bias control and a 9v dc input.
Here's what Tim had to say - "Managed to get 5 mins with the fuzz this morning with the strat and vibrolux.  THIS PEDAL HAS SOME SERIOUS MOJO!  I don't know if it's the tag board+carbon comp resistors, or just some magic you have managed to instill but it is quite simply the most fun fuzz I have ever used.  I've currently got a few other fuzzes (roger mayer axis, voodoo lab bosstone, cornell nkt275 fuzz face, a triangle big muff clone and a colorsound overdriver clone) and have used others in the past but this little grey box is by far my favourite."

Shin-Ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz (again!)

I populated 2 boards at the same time while doing Seans FY-2 so here is another with the same adjustable scoop mod, but also with a blue l.e.d. and in a hammond style enclosure.

Custom Shin-Ei FY-2 Companion Fuzz with scoop mod

I have always thought the FY-2 sounded good but suffers from lack of volume and a virtually useless fuzz control (Just have it on full and leave it!), so I don't make many of them unless they are requested by a customer.  Sean gave me this box and wanted an FY-2 built into it, and here's the result.  Features a mod adding a knob to control the amount of mid-scoop applied to the signal, the scoop can be full on or completely off, giving a massive increase in volume and extra tones.

Interesting Ebay 9

What's interesting about this is I made it a year or so ago for a customer.  3 voice changing effects, 2 pitch controls, 1 volume control, line in or mic switch (seperate input circuit for each), a very noisy and brash unit for lo-fi vocal effects.

Tonebender Pro MK2 modded

Tonebender mk2 pro pedal with some mods for Tim.  See the vero layout I made for details, the layout is based on a couple I found on the net that were based on a layout from an original pedal, and it matches a schematic I have worked from in the past.  As well as the usual Volume and Attack controls, there is a Bias control that enables you to bias (or mis-bias!) the 3rd transistor for more tonal variation.  The transistors are socketed so here are OC-71 and NTK-274 DI soundclips.

Burns Buzzaround

Burns Buzzaround clone for Henry Kaiser. This one uses AC-128 transistors.
