12au7 Selmer Echo Boost schematic

I have been toying with the idea of doing a booster based around the input section of an old echo unit for a while,  I found a schematic for a Selmer echo 200 where the input section looked very similar to the Valvecaster (apart from it uses an ecc83 valve rather than a 12au7).  So I made this schematic that uses elements of both circuits.  Have breadboarded it and it sounds good!  Nice tone and overdrives in a pleasant way with chords, also reacts well to playing dynamics.

Fuzz Face tag board

Fuzz Face circuit built on to a tag board, NTK-274 transistors, 20k bias trimpot on the 2nd transistor.

Tonebender Pro MK2 modded

Tonebender mk2 pro pedal with some mods for Tim.  See the vero layout I made for details, the layout is based on a couple I found on the net that were based on a layout from an original pedal, and it matches a schematic I have worked from in the past.  As well as the usual Volume and Attack controls, there is a Bias control that enables you to bias (or mis-bias!) the 3rd transistor for more tonal variation.  The transistors are socketed so here are OC-71 and NTK-274 DI soundclips.

Mosrite Fuzzrite Vero

A vero layout I made for the classic Mosrite Fuzzrite. The BC-108 transistors can be substituted for similar Silicon NPN transistors (the emitters are orientated towards the bottom of the board), for example I tried 2n3904s which sounded a bit harsher than the BC-108s. Will post a pic of one I have made later.

100th post! - Sam Ash Fuzz vero layout

Here is the vero layout I made for the Sam Ash Fuzz (also known as the Astrotone).  I have omitted the Tone control and the last resistor is 1k2 instead of 1k8 as that's all I had to hand!  Good sounding Silicon distortion with a diode clipping stage.  I tried a few different Silicon Transistors on the breadboard, with bc109c sounding the best to my ears.  Will post a pic and soundclip of the finished pedal soon.
