Nintendrum!

This is a rehoused toy drum machine that I have dubbed the 'Nintendrum' because it sounds like an old video game console at times! 5 buttons to trigger the sounds and a pitch knob to mangle the audio. Listen here.

Arcade Drum

Toy drum machine that sounds like an old arcade game when pitched down!  I've come across 2 versions of this circuit - one sounds ok, but the other generates the arcade weirdness.  No way of telling from the outside which one you will get!  This is staying in the studio ; )

Megcos keyboard/drum machine

Simple keyboard/drum machine with downwards pitch control.  This is one of the first 'toys' I have seen with surface mount components instead of the usual larger resistors/transistors/capacitors etc, making it a bit fiddly to solder!  Audio here.

X-Factor drum machine

Drum Machine with added downwards pitch control. A light dependent resistor also affects the pitch when switched on.  Audio here.

Little Drum Machine

Don't be fooled by this little toy drum, it is capable of some amazing sounds, sometimes sounding like a broken Commodore 64! Audio here.

Bontempi Drum Machine

In 3 years of looking out for obscure drum machines to bend, this is the first one of these I have seen. The 2 controls I have added are Pitch and Drive and can send the drum machine into self oscillating hell! The drum pads use some kind of piezo so can be played 'properly' with sticks. Turn down your speakers and listen to it here.
