Deluxe Mini Fuzz Face

Small version of the Fuzz Face with Jimi/Mayer mods.  Has Volume and Fuzz controls, plus input bias control (front chicken head knob) which lets you clean the fuzz up and helps to get the fuzz working ok with a wah wah pedal.  AC-128 Germanium transistors used.  Recording made with my 1960's Audition electric guitar, listen here.

1 knob Hing Hon EK-001 'Vortex'

Minimal 1 knob version of the 'Vortex' Hing Hon EK-001 modification.  Once again a totally different layout to the innards of this version of the classic analog square wave synth, only one control needed to take this toy keyboard into a very dark place!  Audio here.

Fuzz Face with input and output capacitors optimised for Bass (sounds great with guitar as well), plus input and output bias controls giving more control over the sound of the fuzz.  Overall volume and fuzz control as well.  So from left to right = Volume, input bias, output bias, and Fuzz.  Features AC-128 Germanium transistors.  Bass soundclip here.

Seeland

Going to see Seeland at the Hare and Hounds tonight.  They are a good band from Birmingham featuring Tim and Billy (ex Broadcast and Plone).  Also Neil the bassist from Windscale has now started playing for them!

Stuarts Tonebender MK2

Stuart sent me some pics of the Tonebender mk2 I made for him in action.  Stuart says "i am plugging my guitar directly into the fuzz pedal then into my trusty Vox Wah pedal...i havnt stopped playing this combo since i got the tone bender it sounds so great."

Ampeg Scrambler

Just finished this clone of the legendary and very rare Ampeg Scrambler. A very distinctive fuzz sound with octave up capability plus ring modulation, and very responsive to playing dynamics. Features Balance (mix wet and dry signal) and Texture (different shades of fuzz) controls.  Guitar soundclip here, and Bass soundclip here.

echo switch box

Simple switching box for live use with my echopet, enabling the echo and spring reverb to be switched on and off at will just like using a guitar pedal.

Windscale live this friday 9th May

Windscale are playing live this Friday for the 444 club at the Rainbow in Digbeth, Birmingham. We will be set up at the side of the stage and are playing at the start AND between all the bands as well.
