Zonk Machine

I've probably put more hours into testing the Zonk Machine than any other circuit! It seems to have its own rules with assoociated voodoo that I simply will not go into. Anyway, here's a version I did to sell (to make up for the hours of research and development I've put into getting this circuit sounding remotely good), 9 months since I started working on it, but it sounded so cool at our last Windscale rehearsal that I think I'm going to be keeping it.

Zonk Machine soundclip 2 (non mojo)

Another Zonk but built in a 'prototype' case.  No 'mojo' capacitors, plain carbon film resistors, and a trio of CV7355 transistors of the same rough gain values as the 'mojo' Zonk.  Soundclip here.

Zonk Machine soundclip 1 (mojo)

Zonk Machine with OC84, CV7042, and OC45 transistors, pretty full on, reacts well to guitar tone and volume control changes.

Zonk Machine

Version of the Zonk Machine with Carbon Comp resistors, 2 Mullard tropical fish caps, and trimpot to bias the 3rd transistor.  Still trying out different transistors but will put up a soundclip as soon as I'm happy.

Zonk Machine prototype

Another early 3 transistor fuzz circuit similar to the Tonebender mk1, this is a test pedal I'm fiddling with, trying out different transistors.  Here are some soundclips with 3 different transistor combinations...
