Germanium 'basic circuit' Fuzz Face Clone

After studying R.G. Keens The Technology of the Fuzz Face I decided to invest in a batch of old ac-128 Germanium transitors and see if I could find some good ones to make some Ge Fuzz pedals. After much testing of leakage and gain I isolated 12 medium gain, medium leakage examples. The photo is of the first of 2 'basic circuit' Germanium Fuzz Face clones that I will Be making, with the circuit taken from R.G. Keens article backed up with other sources. Here is a DI recording of the pedal. You will have to wait and see what I am going to do with the other 8 transistors ; )

Andrew Carrell/Soulkitchen Custom Guitar Effects

Some great pedals with amazing paintwork from Andrew Carrell. Andrew has done some great layouts of some classic pedals (some of which I use!), and some of his own designs look really good as well, check the schematics section on his website.

V-Tech Alphabet Apple

Good example of the V-Tech Alphabet Apple.  Glitch button, Pitch control, and reset switch added.  This sounds like totally random Analog sample and hold craziness, check it here.

V-Tech Alphabet Desk

Nice alternative to a Bent Speak and Spell, 8 socket patchbay to trigger glitching effects, a loop button, and a reset switch for when it all turns bad! Extreme Glitching!  Sold to Gore Infidel records.

'Vortex' version 3

More 'Vortex' goodness to be had from this keyboard which seems like a simpler version of the EK-001, sounds very analogue! Added pitch control and 'time vortex' section with on/off switches.  10 minutes of audio here.
